Music: The Dream

The Dream is an artist who NEEDS MORE PEOPLE! Stylists, trainers, PR, media coaches, the whole 9 yards! I say that because public perception of his music is incredible but public perception of him is horrendous. Too often he's photographed in smedium clothing and even more often he's quoted saying the most ridiculous stuff. He should be heard not heard. Meaning he needs to stick to music and fall back on the interviews. And while we're at it... Maybe he should fall back from the photo shoots too, especially photo shoots like the one above.
But anywho, today The Dream dropped what he calls a "free album" not a mixtape, and it's so personal he released it under his government name Terius Nash. Of the mixtape, Terius said...

"LP4 is Underway I THE-DREAM have decided to go forward with “Diary Of A Madman” LP it almost didnt happen. So ill be in my Def Jam uniform for at least one More Season! Also a free 10 song Internet album will be released by Aug 31st. LP 4 because of the contract negotiations does not have a date but it will be released 4th quarter but i will give a 10 song Internet LP while you guys wait!!!! LOVE YOU. The Internet LP is entitled ‘1977′ and will be released under my real name Terius Nash not The-Dream. Shooting Videos for 1977 all this week. The “TERIUS NASH EST. 1977″ is very personal and to my Fans!"

Airing out his beef with the label and all that dirty laundry was unnecessary, but I digress. The 11-track "internet album" is incredible. Below you'll find the track listing, the link to download and MY favorite track off of 1977.

1. Wake Me When It's Over"
2. “Used to Be”
3. “Long Gone”
4. “Ghetto” Feat. Big Sean*
5. “Wedding Crasher”
6. “Rolex” Feat. Casha
7. “Silly” Introducing Casha
8. “1977 (Miss You Still)”
9. “Wish You Were Mine”
10. “This Shit Real Nigga” Feat. Pharrell

11. “Form of Flattery”

DOWNLOAD: 1977

*"Ghetto" featuring Big Sean is my favorite track off the "internet album". It's a unique love song that samples The Dream-penned track "Dance For You" off the deluxe edition of Beyonce's newest album "4".
